Marki Microwave offers a DC to 35 GHz amplifier in a bare die package, with 14 dB of gain and +22 dBm saturated output power. The ADM-5974CH provides efficient optimized LO drive to all Marki Microwave mixers, ideal for electronic warfare, clock distribution, or test and measurement applications. The design allows for single-supply DC biasing for customer convenience or for optional negative bias to increase even harmonic rejection and decrease DC current consumption. ADM-5974CH is built with a low-noise GaAs pHEMT process to provide competitive phase noise performance.

BeRex announced the BSW6321 and BSW6421 high isolation, high linearity, low insertion loss, SPDT switches optimized for Wi-Fi, CATV and 5G applications. Using a single 2.7V-5.5V supply voltage, the BSW6321 and BSW6421 switches provide a wide 1 to 6000 MHz frequency range when used in either 50 Ohm of 75 Ohm systems. They utilize a patent-pending technology that provides the industry’s highest isolation of 50dB at 2.45GHz, together with a high input P1 capability of 39dBm and a linearity of 64dBm.



Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) is now offering the 0708N (.065” x .080”) series capacitor. These parts exhibit Low ESR/ESL, Low Noise, High Self-Resonance as well as ultra-stable performance over temperature. These capacitors are 100% RoHS compliant and also available in Tin/Lead termination. Usually used for wireless broadcasting equipment, mobile base stations, GPS, MRI, and Radar applications and offered in magnetic and non-magnetic terminations.

WLAN Signaling Tester

The R&S CMW270 wireless connectivity tester is the world’s first tester to emulate all IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards, including 802.11ax. In signaling mode, users can test the RF properties of WLAN stations under real-world conditions. The tester presents a solution based on the well-established R&S CMW270 wireless connectivity tester, which has a newly extended bandwidth of 160 MHz. Users also need the new hardware option, the R&S CMW-B100H advanced measurement unit, which allows them to emulate an 802.11ax access point to test the RF properties and performance of a STA under realistic conditions.

SPDT Switch

RFMW, Ltd. announced support for a high power SPDT switch from RFuW Engineering. The MSW2T-2040-193 high power PIN diode switch handles 150 watts of average (CW) power across a band width of 50MHz to 1GHz. Peak power handling is up to 550W. Offered in a surface mount (SMT) package measuring 5x8x2.5mm, the MSW2T-2040-193 symmetrical switch serves radar T/R module applications along with switch filter banks and Mil-Com radio applications where high-power handling is needed.

Norden Millimeter introduces the NUDC2-18/1.3-2.3 Wideband Microwave Transceiver in a low-SWaP 3U module. The NUDC2-18/1.3-2.3 is a dual conversion Transceiver providing 2-18 GHz operation in a versatile OpenVPX platform. Model SAT-363-25028-C1 is a WR-28 orthomode transducer (OMT) that operates between 30 and 42 GHz. It separates a circular or elliptical polarized waveform into two linear, orthogonal waveforms or combines two linear polarized waveforms into one circular or elliptical polarized waveform or vice versa. The OMT also supports either vertical or horizontal polarized waveguide forms with more than 30 dB cross polarization rejections. It shows high port isolation while providing a low insertion loss. The OMT is configured with a 0.250” diameter circular waveguide for the antenna port and two WR-28 waveguides for the horizontal and vertical ports.

Balanced Mixer

Model SFB-50375308-1519KF-N1 is a V-band balanced mixer with U band LO port that utilizes high performance GaAs Schottky beam-lead diodes and a balanced circuit configuration to offer superior RF performance. Power Sensors Include Internal and External Triggering

LadyBug’s LB5900 and LB480A Series USB RF Power Sensors include internal and external triggering at no upcharge. Users can trigger time-gated measurements, trigger the beginning of an average power measurement, or other uses. Internal level and polarity can be set to suit the particular application. The sensors also feature trigger output allowing the trigger signal to be passed to other instruments.

All of our products utilize a YIG single crystal structure, a ferrimagnetic material that resonates at microwave frequencies from 500 MHz to 50 GHz. The frequency is directly proportional to the applied magnetic field of the YIG material. For oscillators, a single YIG sphere is used as the resonator element in a tank circuit to generate very wide tuning sources with excellent phase noise characteristics. For filters, a number of YIG spheres are used as stages (poles) in both band-pass and band-reject filter configurations.

Low-Cost Microwave Vector System

GH University of Science and Technology researchers in Krakow, Poland have developed a novel low-cost microwave vector system using NI AWR Design Environment. The system is dedicated to monitoring the properties of liquid samples, for example, estimation of fat content in ultra-high temperature processed milk. The challenge was to design a system composed of a differentially-fed coupled-line sensor and five-port correlator that would enable measurement of both magnitude and phase of a signal dependent on the material under test.
