Voltage Controlled Programmable Attenuator

This voltage controlled programmable attenuator features a 63 dB dynamic range in 1 dB steps. Model 631-031-063 is rated 1-Watt average input power and has SMA female RF connectors. Attenuation accuracy is +/- 0.5 dB or 2% of programmed and is controlled via solder terminal connectors. The supply voltage +12 Vdc at 30 mA nominal per section resulting in 10 milliseconds switching speed. The 50 Ohm attenuator has an operating frequency range of DC – 2200 MHz, maximum VSWR is 1.40:1 and insertion loss is 3.5 dB maximum. Other impedance and connector options are also available. Sector Antenna

KP’s new tripleband sector antenna allows for three radios to operate with only one sector antenna, reducing leased space on the tower and installation costs. This antenna supports 2x2 MIMO in 2.4 GHz, 4x4 MIMO in 3.5 GHz, and 2x2 MIMO in 5 GHz bands. It comes with three radio mounting slots that work with Ubiquiti radios and KP’s radio brackets for Cambium’s PMP450 and 450I, and ePMP2000 radios. This tripleband sector features a 65-degree beamwidth and high front-to-back that allows for six sectors to be used with frequency-reuse three (ABCABC). It is constructed of heavy-grade, powder-coated mounting brackets.

Power Divider

PMI Model: APD-8-0R523G-292FF is an eight-way power divider operating over the 0.5 to 23.0 GHz frequency range. This model has a max insertion loss of 2.0 dB from 2.0 to 8.0 GHz and 3.2 dB Max between 8.0 to 18.0 GHz. The compact 5.0" x 3.7" x .43" housing with removable 2.92 mm female connectors.

Frequency Synthesizer Module

Model SOT-02220313100-SF-B6 is a low phase noise frequency synthesizer module designed and manufactured for standard test instrumentation, communication and radar systems as a local oscillator. It covers a frequency range of 0.2 to 20 GHz with an exceptional low harmonics and spurious emissions as well as superior low phase noise performance. The model is externally referenced with internal reference backup. The output power is from -20 to +13 dBm controllable by the command. The frequency resolution is up to 0.1 Hz. The phase noise of the oscillator is dependent on the quality of the reference source. When the oscillator operates with the internal reference, the phase noise is -110 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset at 20 GHz frequency point. The oscillator has a maximum spurious of -60 dBc.

Qorvo® to Create State-of-the-Art Semiconductor Packaging Center

Qorvo® has been selected by the U.S. government to create a State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Heterogeneous Integrated Packaging (SHIP) RF production and prototyping center. The SHIP program will ensure that microelectronics packaging expertise and leadership is available for both U.S. defense contractors and commercial clients that require design, validation, assembly, test and manufacturing of next-generation RF components.

The exclusive SHIP Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), worth up to $75 million, was awarded to Qorvo by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division. This program is funded by the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD R&E) Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Program (T&AM), and is administered by the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted System (S²MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), managed by National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL).

Under the SHIP program, Qorvo will design and deliver the highest levels of heterogeneous packaging integration. This is essential to meet the size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C) requirements for next-generation phased array radar systems, unmanned vehicles, electronic warfare platforms and satellite communications.
