Power Sensor with SPI & I2C Connectivity

LadyBug Technologies’ LB5918A power sensor is available with a variety of connectors and options. The LB5918A-OSF-SPI is equipped with an SMA Female connector and direct TTL connectivity using either SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) or I2C (Inter Integrated Circuit) interfaces. This allows direct connection to microcontrollers, FPGAs, and more. The sensor’s USB port is also fully functional. It has a dynamic range of -60 dBm to 86 dBm, allowing users measurement flexibility and making attenuator selection for high power applications easy.

No user zeroing is required. The USB Sensor offers frequency coverage from 10 MHz to 8 GHz, unlike similar pulse sensors, the sensor’s full -60 dBm sensitivity is available in pulse mode. The product’s broad frequency range combined with excellent sensitivity make it ideal for IoT, satellite, radar, Bluetooth, and defence applications.

5G Enclosure

The new SC-3MM-100-series enclosures combine critical functionality and capabilities for small cell/5G applications. Each enclosure is UL 508A service entrance-rated, eliminating the need for a separate disconnect between the cabinet and utility. A 100-amp input breaker provides more than ample capacity for typical installations.

New, Programmable Attenuators

Micro Lambda Wireless announced the production release of new programmable attenuators. Standard frequency models are available covering 10 MHz to 21 GHz and provide either 31.5 or 63 dB of attenuation over the full frequency range. Units are fully programmable by the user.

Model MLAT-1000A 10 MHz to 21 GHz / 31.5 dB attenuation.

Model MLAT-1000B 10 MHz to 21 GHz / 63 dB attenuation.  

Standard models are specified to operate over the 0 to +50 C temperature range, but extended temperature versions covering -40 to +85C are available on special order.

Frequency Synthesizer Module

Model SOT-02220313100-SF-B6 is a low phase noise frequency synthesizer module designed and manufactured for standard test instrumentation, communication and radar systems as a local oscillator. It covers a frequency range of 0.2 to 20 GHz with an exceptional low harmonics and spurious emissions as well as superior low phase noise performance. The model is externally referenced with internal reference backup. The output power is from -20 to +13 dBm controllable by the command.

High-Power Amp

The MB.502.5G504850 is the newest addition to EliteRF’s portfolio of high-power RF amplifiers that incorporates advanced, state-of-the-art, GaN on SiC technology. It is biased class AB and has 48dB of gain, works in CW or Pulsed mode, covers from 500MHz to 2.5GHz, and is available in 100W and 200W options.

Qorvo® to Create State-of-the-Art Semiconductor Packaging Center

Qorvo® has been selected by the U.S. government to create a State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Heterogeneous Integrated Packaging (SHIP) RF production and prototyping center. The SHIP program will ensure that microelectronics packaging expertise and leadership is available for both U.S. defense contractors and commercial clients that require design, validation, assembly, test and manufacturing of next-generation RF components.

The exclusive SHIP Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), worth up to $75 million, was awarded to Qorvo by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division. This program is funded by the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD R&E) Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Program (T&AM), and is administered by the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted System (S²MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), managed by National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL).

Under the SHIP program, Qorvo will design and deliver the highest levels of heterogeneous packaging integration. This is essential to meet the size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C) requirements for next-generation phased array radar systems, unmanned vehicles, electronic warfare platforms and satellite communications.
